My current work focuses on creating decorative textiles for my studio based business, Ibis Arts. These textile pieces, designed to bring color and comfort to our homes, include hand dyed and hand printed cloth, hand painted canvas mats for table and floor, feather filled pillows, and fiber based wall pieces. My work is colorful and whimsical but, at the same time, functional and durable.

I am greatly influenced by contemporary architecture and industrial design and by mid-twentieth century abstract and color field painters. I work with pattern and form, mark making and response, and with the tension between decision making and chance. I am inspired by the grand design implicit in our natural world and by textiles from all times and cultures.

My education includes a B.A. in Studio Art from Newton College of the Sacred Heart, an M.A. in Counseling Psychology from Lesley University, and I have attended the Professional Program in Fiber Arts at Worcester Center for Crafts. I have held various management positions in the arts, human services, printing production and have been an instructor at Worcester Center for Crafts.

My work has been exhibited at local museums and galleries, and reviewed in local publications.
